Thank You darby!
What a fine group of musicians. The opening act can't make it so they set up and play an acoustic set, followed by an electric. Yup, maybe it should be considered their obligation, maybe groups have been doing it for decades, yup, all that is true, but NMA have traditionally played some long ass sets without set breaks. These boys are truly exceptional. The recording is great as is the show. My personal favorite is the Lord Have Mercy and how it drops in, which is so dirty and root driven. Plus there's Cody's beautifully glancing drum fills, Malcolm; he stays so true to the cause, and of course Luther's skilled fingers and feel which have been known to make me well-up. The only draw back is when you get pulled in there is some guy yapping about who knows what in the audience, but it doesn't stop me from listening to this show over and over. I may be incorrect about this, cause I am no expert by any means, but I think there may be a Station Blues Jam inside of Mississippi Bollweevil- maybe? Maybe Not?
Any who... The Stuck Inside- Deep River Blues, Tallahatchee(bids of the moon) is just Luther on stage. Really great job darby.
Five stars for Performance and Four for recording.
Peace and Much Groove!
